As you all know, going green has become the new fad and way of living for most of our A-lister celebs and environmentally friendly people. Whether it’s carpooling, recylcing, or simply taking up a more eco-friendly lifestlye, more and more people are converting to the green team. From the Global Green’s pre-Oscar party to following green links on the net, celebrities such as Adrian Grenier, Salma Hayek and Bill Maher are just several of the stars who have made appearances.

According to New York magazine, Leonardo DiCaprio has taken his green-ness to the next level, buying an eco-friendly condo in NYC. Luxury, of course. His condo was built with solar-powered energy and non-pollutant materials,  high-rise with a green roof and a “gray and black water treatment facility”. His rep told New York magazine: “Riverhouse is a prime example of how green technology is both accessible and achievable for new residential developments — it is a groundbreaking building.”

Matt Damon revealed that he was on the list for an upcoming Tesla Roadster. ”Next year I’m getting a Tesla Roadster, which I’m very, very excited about,” he said “It’s an electric car, gets about 250 miles to the charge and is fast as hell! I can’t wait to get it. Driving a green car is one of the ways we can all do a little more, so I’m trying to do that.”

Brad Pitt is turning his energies to molding his architectural passions (the actor is said to be a major fan of Frank Lloyd Wright) — especially in light of his successful involvement with the Make It Right NOLA project to rebuild the 9th Ward. It was announced today that the 44-year-old star has been named to a team of design consultants for a brand-new environmentally friendly green hotel and resort in Dubai. Development firm developing firm, Zabeel Properties has brought on the Los Angeles-based architecture firm GRAFT to help bring the project to life. Pitt will work with GRAFT to make a sustainable and energy-efficient structure. “Selecting this development as my first major construction project has been a simple decision,” Pitt added. “It will underpin not only my values for environmentally-friendly architecture, but also embrace my career in entertainment.

Other than crossing the path of paparazzi galore and Hilary Duff, who knows what Ali Sims was laughing about while leaving Starbucks in Beverly Hills yesterday. Doesn’t seem like Ali should be laughing at anybody but herself…. given she her own family is almost at their end with her. Why is it that her and Brit are so addicted to Coffee Bean and Starbucks…. what the hell. It’s funny….. because if she wanted to be more stealth mode she could pick less obvious locations. I think she just digs the attention….. since no one else has been giving it her lately. It’s good to see her cousin Brit getting her butt back in gear (and I am not just talkin about the gym) with her kids and career…. not to mention spend more quality time with her expecting sister (who I heard to growing in size). Should we anticipate mini Spears to be the bigger mommy role model for us? hmmmm we will have to wait and see. This should be interesting……
